Turbo Electric Actuator

The Turbo Electric Actuator controls the turbocharger boost output. It is used in Variable Geometry Turbochargers, which are fitted with movable vanes that determine the direction of the exhaust flow. The actuator acts as a relief valve that can adjust the direction of the vanes and thereby, the direction of the exhaust. It does this with the help of the boost pressure of the primary turbocharger and the vacuum inside the intake manifold. The actuator is controlled by the Engine Control Unit which measures the speed and load on the engine.
