Installing and Testing the LED Pod Lights

In the video, the creator unboxes a pair of MaXpeedingrods LED pod lights and looks at several possible mounting positions on the off-road wrecker. He ultimately decides to install them on the snowcat, which needs additional rear lighting.

After selecting a mounting point, the creator secures the two pods at the rear of the machine and begins routing the wiring. Once the initial wiring is in place, he temporarily connects the negative and positive terminals to test the lights.

The lights illuminate immediately, prompting an impressed reaction from the creator. He then demonstrates the available functions one by one, switching between the white daytime running light, amber daytime running light and off settings. The rear-facing main lights are also switched on and off, confirming that the pod lights and their different modes are working after installation.

Wider Coverage in a Compact Design

The MaXpeedingrods 3.5-inch LED Pod Lights bring multiple lighting functions together in a compact square housing. A focused spot beam projects light into the distance, while the double-sided shooter design expands illumination toward the sides. Together, they create up to 270 degrees of lighting coverage for a wider field of visibility.

Drivers can choose between a 6000K white main light and white or 3000K amber DRL modes. This combination adds flexibility for different vehicle builds, lighting layouts and operating environments.

The pods use die-cast aluminum housings to support heat dissipation and hardened polycarbonate lenses for added protection. Their sealed IP68 design helps keep water, dust and moisture away from the internal components, making them better suited to demanding outdoor environments.

With a 9–32V operating range, the lights can work with various vehicle and equipment electrical systems. Each kit includes two LED pod lights, a wiring harness, stainless steel mounting brackets, mounting accessories and a product manual.
